How to Download Rubik’s Cube™ VR

1. Click on the Rubik’s Cube™ VR download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

Game modes

Learning mode

Virtual Reality is the perfect place to teach players how to solve the Rubik's Cube™. Replacing the difficulty of 2D representations with the ease of being able to see the Cube in full 3D help to understand solving immediately and intuitively.
The game starts off by teaching the basics for complete beginners or with more advanced algorithms for skilled players. The game analyzes the moves made by the player, in order to offer better ways of solving and improve skills even if the player is experienced in solving the Cube.
Focus on moves you haven’t mastered yet and skip moves you know. The learning experience is tailored to your preference.
The game can help solving the Cube by showing the actual tiles with blinking colors, rotating circles around it, so the player can see where to focus. Players can see where to turn the Cube because of big glowing arrows showing the way, thus learning is really intuitive and easy to understand.

Competitive 1v1 mode

Solve the same shuffled Cube in a race against another player. Distract your opponent by shaking their Cube, locking a tile for a few seconds, or just turning the Cube around in their hand randomly.

Quick Play

Solve the official shuffling for the Cube, used by the World Cube Association. Rubik’s Cube™ VR will remember the time and moves you made to offer better solutions in Learning mode.

Relax mode

Solve the Cube at a leisurely pace, without the distraction of a clock. Listen to relaxing music and choose between a nice beach, a forest, a mountaintop or other various beautiful and peaceful imageries.

Challenge mode

Similarly to Quick play, solve the official Cube but the main focus is on time. Choose between playing against your own time or your friends’ records. Challenge the world record; Rubik’s Cube™ VR notifies you after 4.22 seconds.
