This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

ストーリー

天邪鬼である鬼人 正邪。
彼女は小人族の至宝である「打ち出の小槌」を使い、
幻想郷社会の転覆を試みた。

その企みは失敗に終わったのだが彼女はまだ諦めていなかった。
小槌の魔力に冒された道具は勝手に動き出す事を知った彼女は、
持ち主に気付かれぬよう、こっそりと集めたのだった。

　　「これらの残りの魔力を集めれば、あるいは・・・・・」

しかしその企みも何処か知れ渡ってしまう。

幻想郷社会の転覆を企む反逆者として追われる身となった
彼女の前に、次々と妖怪が現れるようになった。

妖怪達はルール無用の弾幕で攻めてくるだろう。
遠慮は要らない、呪われた道具で追い返せ！

ゲームの進め方

数日間、正邪を捕らえに妖怪達が攻めてくるぞ！

まず攻略したい日付を選び、それからシーンを選ぶと
短いステージが開始します。

相手の体力を０にすれば、そのシーンはクリアです。
しかし敵弾に当たってしまったら、もう一度やり直しです。

攻略には反則アイテムが必要不可欠です。
弾幕に合ったアイテムを考えて選びましょう。
アイテムの詳細は装備画面にて確認してください。

操作方法

・上下左右　自機の操作

・SHOTキー（Zキー）　　ショット
・ACTIONキー（Xキー）　装備アイテムの使用
・SLOWキー（Shiftキー） 低速移動
・PAUSEキー（Escキー） ポース

・メッセージのスキップ　SHOTボタン押しっぱなし
・高速リトライ　　　　　ポース画面でRキー

何をするゲームなの？

各シーンを攻略していく事が目的です。
何シーンかクリアすると次の日も選択できます。

それぞれのシーンは装備アイテムによってガラッと
変わりますので、色々試してみると良いでしょう。

補足

・アイテムのレベルについて。

　アイテムにはレベルがあります。
　レベルが上がると、回数が増えたり範囲が広がったり
　使いやすくなります。
　経験値は「クリアしたシーンの数」です。
　但し、同じシーンを何回もクリアしてもカウントされません。

・サブ装備について。
　ある程度ストーリーを進めると装備枠が増えます。
　サブに装備してクリアしても、そのアイテムはクリアには
　カウントされません。

・会話シーンについて。
　会話があるシーンで、二回目以降のプレイ時は
　「初回プレイと同じアイテムを装備してる状態」のみ
　再び会話が流れます。
　それ以外では通常のシーンと同じです。
