How to Download False Front

1. Click on the False Front download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

False Front is a cartoony first-person shooter set in a world where warfare is not only seen as a sport but also broadcast on television and seen live by an audience with thousands of people. "Our vision with this game is to capture the old-school first-person shooter feeling. We want to make a game experience that doesn’t feel too complex, a game that is easy to understand but hard to master. We believe that the simple graphic combined with the arcade-style gameplay will bring comfort to the player and just let you have a good time playing. Hopefully the game will be released in 2018, but we like to stick to the saying ”a game is only late for a short while, but is forever bad”. So we will release the game when we think it is good enough.

We will make all future DLCs fully free of charge. Personally, we feel that having a price on DLCs takes away the joy for new content. It no longer feels like a gift, just another thing to pay for. We want our DLCs to feel like a gift. The game will retail for about $9.99, which might increase after more content has been added."


The game will include a Multiplayer mode where you can play together with your friends in gamemodes such as Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy and more. We will also try to add some more fun and different gamemodes such as Infected or Prophunt, but that will be added after release.

There will also be 4 different playable classes on release Sniper, Assault, SMG and Shotgun. Even though these classes will have different abilities we will try to make them balanced and somewhat alike.


Currently there are 4 different classes in the game, Sniper, Assault, Machinegun and Shotgun. We want to keep it simple and therefore are going with those simple bases for the classes. The classes will come with 2 primary and 1 secondary weapon to choose from at launch, more to come after release.
