Guide: Installing Knuckle Is Bones on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

      What is Knuckle Is Bones? Features and Description

      This is a simple fan game version of the minigame Knucklebones from Cult of the Lamb, with the somewhat visuals of Baba is You.

      This is a simple fan game version of the minigame Knucklebones from Cult of the Lamb, with the somewhat visuals of Baba is You. The game is all about Dice, and getting the biggest combos possible to beat your opponents!

      The game currenctly contains:
      * 6 opponents
      * 6 dice
      * 10 boards
      * Several upgrades

      The game has a shop system, where the the more points you gain by winning against opponents, the better dice er larger boards you get get!

      This game is also fully moddable! You can add boards, dice, opponents, shop items, change textures and much more.

      You can play this game with a mouse, keyboard, gamepad or a combination of them all. (Do note, for gamepad users, the game only accepts input for controller 1-4)

      How to Play

      * The players take turns. On a player's turn, they roll a single 6-sided die, and must place it in a column on their board. A filled column does not accept any more dice.
      * Each player has a score, which is the sum of all the dice values on their board.
      * If a player places multiple dice of the same value in the same column, the score awarded for each of those dice is multiplied by the number of dice of the same value in that column. e.g. if a column contains 4-1-4, then the score for that column is 4x2 + 1x1 + 4x2 = 17.
      * When a player places a die, all dice of the same value in the corresponding column of the opponent's board gets destroyed. Players can use this mechanic to destroy their opponent's high-scoring combos.
      * The game ends when either player completely fills up their board. The player with the higher score wins.
      * You get points, if you win, based on the score of the player board. AI vs AI battles gives no points. Use points to unlock more dice and boards. Different AIs have different score multipliers, based on how difficult they are.
