This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Specter Hideout is a top-down, asymmetrical multiplayer experience for 2 to 5 players. It pits a team of Hunters against one invisible Specter. Whether you are hunting the specter or "haunting the living", every match is a game of cat-and-mouse where one wrong move means the end.

Specter Hideout is a top-down, asymmetrical multiplayer experience for 2 to 5 players. Inspired by the classic "Ghost Mansion" formula, it pits a team of Hunters against one invisible Specter. Whether you are hunting the specter or "haunting the living", every match is a game of cat-and-mouse where one wrong move means the end.

As a team of up to four Hunters, your goal is to track down the Specter and eliminate it before your team is picked off one by one.
Flashlight Tactics: Use your beam to reveal the Specter and deal damage. Manage your battery wisely. Once it’s out, you’re defenseless!
Haptic Radar: Feel the Specter’s presence. Use your proximity radar (and controller vibration) to sense when the ghost is closing in.
Revive the Fallen: If a teammate is knocked down, shine your light on them to bring them back. The hunt isn't over until the last one goes out.

Specter Hideout - The Specter: Strike when they don't see
As the lone Specter, you are invisible and fast.
Invisibility & Ambush: You are invisible by default. Stalk the hunters and choose the perfect moment to strike.
Dash & Evade: Use your dash ability to close the gap or escape a light trap.
Beware the Storm: Nature is not on your side. Sudden lightning flashes will temporarily reveal your position to the Hunters!
Single-Copy Play (LAN Mode): Only the host needs to own the game! Friends can join your local session for free via mobile devices, tablets, or other PCs on your Wi-Fi. (Planned for the future: play online via Steam P2P.)
Power-Up Strategy: Compete for battery packs to keep your lights on. Sometimes, Hunters can "Supercharge" for extra damage, but if the Specter attacks the battery, they'll heal or drain the Hunters' energy depending on the type.
Six Languages: English, Spanish, German, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Russian.
Two Maps: Currently, two maps are available to keep things interesting, with possibly more to come in the future if enough interest is sparked about the game.
Customizable Game Balance: Want a challenge or a casual game? Use the Balance Slider to tweak health, speed, and power-up rates. Make the ghost a terrifying boss or a fragile glass canon.

Host a Lobby: One player acts as the host (supports controllers if playing like a hunter!).
Join the Hunt: Friends can join via a simple 4-digit room code or by scanning a QR code. (If I manage to make the version of Steam, you may have a lobby system)
Lock In: Select your roles, customize gameplay stats, and start the game.
Specter Hideout is a passion project. The Steam version is free, and you should not be charged for this item in any way or form.
