This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
A retro-style, rogue-like deck-builder where you play Video Poker. Collect unique cards, download powerful software and merge your cards to unlock new synergies and craft the deck you need to conquer the many challenges of Video Poker 95!

Video Poker 95 is a deck-builder roguelike, you know what that means at this point. You're collecting cards and then doing something with those cards, in this case, that's playing video poker.

You'll start with a deck of some of your favourite cards, the Ace of Spades, Queen of Hearts, 6 of Clubs and from there, you'll find that there are a plethora of fresh, new cards with exciting abilities. Add them to the deck and experiment to find out which synergies work best.

If collecting cards isn't working well for you, why not try merging your cards? Merged cards keep the values and abilities of the two merged cards, allowing you to craft the best possible cards for your deck.

Installing new software provides you with even more ways to refine your deck and explore new synergies. There's dozens of Software in the game to install and experiment with, all with the aim of improving your deck and making it even more over powered.

So what's the point of all this deck building and Software installing? To play Video Poker, of course! But all these new cards and abilities wouldn't be fun to play with without an equal challenge to overcome. Fight your way through as many unique Challenges as possible, as they do their best to slow you down, take your credits and send you back to the square one.
But, this is a roguelike, so even if they succeed and send you back, that's half the fun, click the New Game button and try again. With the right choices and some good luck, you'll be able to make every deck you build an incredible one, but if you aren't making the right choices or have bad luck, at least you'll be able to make a deck that's unique.
