This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Phantom of the Lily is a psychological horror game with a dark narrative. Solve mind-bending puzzles, piece together clues in an eerie atmosphere, and reveal the truth in a terrifying world. Can you preserve your sanity and wake up from this nightmare?

Set in the 1970s, Phantom of the Lily is a psychological horror-thriller about a woodcutter's harrowing experiences in a cursed town.
Progression is not just about opening doors; it requires correctly interpreting clues within the environment. Locked chests, cryptic notes, and mechanical contraptions will block your path. You must investigate your surroundings carefully and overcome obstacles by using items from your inventory in the right places.
The game world is detailed and interactive. Rummage through drawers, read documents, and do not hesitate to venture into the darkest corners to piece together the hidden fragments of the story.
The game keeps you under pressure with an ever-changing atmosphere that goes beyond mere jumpscares. Through the interplay of light and shadow, unsettling sound design, and shifting environmental dynamics, you will push the boundaries of your character's sanity.

David Morgan is an elderly woodcutter living a solitary life in a cabin deep within the silent forests of Arizona. Having tragically lost his wife, Lily, fourteen years ago, he still bears the heavy burden of her absence on his shoulders.
Following a disturbing incident, Morgan finds himself entangled in a chain of inexplicable events. Desperate to free himself from this emotional weight, he attempts to unravel the mystery surrounding him, only to sink deeper into the abyss. As the story unfolds, he realizes that these terrors are not random; they are manifestations of a curse born from his own dark past—a curse he must break to survive.
To lift the curse, a series of rituals must be performed. Throughout the game, you will hunt for the necessary ritual artifacts. With every object found, Morgan uncovers a dark trace of his history and must struggle to silence the maddening voices in his head.
But to destroy the curse once and for all, one final sacrifice must be made...
