This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

Thank you for your interest in our game. We would like to address an issue regarding the release date currently displayed on our store page.
Due to a configuration error in the Steamworks backend, the release date was accidentally set to February 28, 2026, causing the system to incorrectly mark the game as "Released."
Please be advised that the game is still in active development and is not yet ready for launch. We have already contacted Steam Support to reset the application status and correct this display error.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. We will provide a formal update as soon as the official release schedule is confirmed. Thank you for your patience and continued support!
Performance is combat. Rhythm is the rule.
In a future city built around livestreams, the stage is your battlefield. Under the eyes of billions, every move, every shot, every mistake becomes part of a lethal broadcast controlled by algorithms. This is not just about surviving. It is about staying relevant.
Every action is tracked. Every moment is scored.
DOPAis a rhythm driven action game set inside a nonstop, 24/7 survival livestream.
In this future, attention is currency and entertainment is infrastructure. You play as a rising Performer, thrown into a brutal competition where rhythm based combat meets live stage spectacle. Fight to entertain, adapt to the audience, and learn how the system rewards or punishes those it watches.
There is no quiet gameplay here. Every action must land on the beat.
Dodges, gunfire, and abilities are all tied to rhythm and timing. Precision fuels your performance meter. The stage reacts to the music, with lighting, terrain, and hazards shifting mid fight. What looks like danger can become an opportunity if you play it right.
Enemies are part of the show.
The audience decides the outcome.
Encounters scale dynamically based on your performance score and threat level. Play it safe to protect your popularity, or push harder to drive engagement. Every decision you make is reflected in the broadcast.
When the fight ends, the pressure continues.
Viewer counts, fan donations, sponsor objectives, and online backlash all affect gameplay. Popularity functions like a second health bar. It can save you, or turn against you.
•Rapid fan growth can unlock unique support abilities
•Negative publicity may trigger special enemies designed to target you
You are managing more than a character. You are managing a public identity.
DOPA is set in a near future where data matters more than truth.
Move between dazzling stages and decaying backstage spaces. Meet other performers bound to the same system. Make deals, betray allies, and decide how far you are willing to go to stay visible.
Are you using the system, or trapped inside it?
Does the show end in freedom, or in total control?
In this world, visibility is both your greatest weapon and your biggest risk.
Combine the precision of rhythm games with fast paced action combat.
Improve your combat skills while growing your audience. Fame directly affects gameplay.
In game social platforms react to your actions in real time.
Neon stages, data saturated environments, and virtual idol culture.
Your performance style and public decisions lead to different career paths and endings.
Step onto a stage that never goes dark.
Add DOPAmine Overdrive to your wishlist and prepare to go live.

or the performer who breaks the system?
