This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Ever looked at a humble street bollard and thought, "I want to be that"? Now you can! Dodge and crash your way through endless streets as a sentient stone bollard in this quirky, stress-relieving arcade game.
They were once the silent guardians of the sidewalk. Now, they are the unstoppable champions of the street!
Welcome to Shidunzi Parkour! This is a wonderfully absurd casual game where you play as... well, a stone bollard, on a wild rampage through the city. Forget superheroes and chosen ones; here, you'll experience the peak of existence as the most common, everyday roadblock.
The core gameplay is a classic, intuitive three-lane runner, but we've packed it with two distinct ways to have fun:
【PARKOUR MODE: THE ART OF THE DODGE】 In this mode, you are a nimble parkour master. The streets are swarming with your stationary brethren. Rely on your sharp reflexes and precise timing to weave through the chaos, pushing your limits to set the ultimate high score. It’s not just about survival; it’s a graceful ballet of concrete and asphalt.
【MUSIC MODE: A CARNIVAL OF RHYTHMIC DESTRUCTION】 Switch to Music Mode, and let the mayhem begin! You become a rock-and-roll renegade, and your one and only goal is to SMASH EVERYTHING. Collide with other bollards in perfect sync with the electrifying beat. Every successful impact is a satisfying note in a symphony of destruction, creating the ultimate stress-relief experience.
Two Core Modes, Double the Fun: Master the thrilling challenge of high-speed dodging in Parkour Mode, or unleash your destructive side and smash to the beat in Music Mode.
Become a Rhythm God: Full support for custom beatmaps! Craft your very own 'Bollard Symphony' and share it with players worldwide via local files or the upcoming Steam Workshop integration. Challenge the world with your unique rhythms!
Online & LAN Multiplayer Mayhem: Compete with friends online or on a local network! In Parkour Mode, you'll see other players' ghost silhouettes as you race against their best runs. In Music Mode, watch a live leaderboard and battle for the top score in real-time!
Host Your Own Game with Ease: No dedicated server required! The game client itself can act as a server. Simply share your IP address, and you can instantly start a LAN party with your friends.
The Ultimate Stress-Relief Tool: Become a bollard. Run wild. Forget the rules. This might just be the most absurdly satisfying and relaxing game you'll ever play.
Are you ready? Pick your mode, hit the streets, and show the world what a stone bollard can really do!
