This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
A ridiculous clicker where cranking handles becomes a cult. Upgrade your cranks, recruit spinners, and embrace the infinite loop. Always spin. Never stop.
Loop My Crank is an absurd clicker-type game where cranking a handle is not just a mechanic, it's a lifestyle… and maybe a cult.
Start with one rusty crank, and end up harnessing the power of Earth, nuclear reactors, and even the spinning force of the universe itself.
Buy increasingly ridiculous upgrades, recruit followers who spin out of pure belief, and watch your coin production spiral into madness.
Clicker? Idle? Looper?
Doesn’t matter. Just spin. Always spin.
Never stop spinning.
Turn the crank to generate money. The more you generate, the more upgrades you can buy... and the more you'll turn. An endless cycle of rotation and progress.
Use the money you earn to buy and upgrade the autoclicker, a technological marvel that will turn the crank for you without stopping. At first it will be slow and clumsy, but with the right upgrades it will become a real beast of rotation.
Increase its speed, reduce the risk of overheating, and optimize each turn until you achieve absolute efficiency. Little by little, you'll stop turning the crank yourself... and start running an entire perpetual motion factory.
Unlock and upgrade the Lab, where science and obsession with spinning come together.
Over time, this research center will give you unique upgrades that can multiply your money production as if you were a quantum spinning genius.
Invest your Research Points wisely, because every experiment here comes at a cost... and some could (metaphorically) blow up in your face.
Keep the lab running, upgrade it, and remember: science never rests... but you should.
Crank the handle. Again. And again. And again.
Infinite progression system. Every turn brings you closer to madness... and more money.
Upgradeable auto-clicker. Let the machine do the work (until it overheats).
Secret science lab. Research, unlock and upgrade absurd technology no ethics board would approve.
Passive upgrades. From CrossFit gyms to the very power of the universe.
Tons of Steam achievements. Because nothing says success like unlocking “Crank Harder.”
Retro-industrial aesthetic. Like if the 80s and a nuclear generator had a baby.
Immersive sounds and music. Perfect for endless spinning (or until your finger gives up).
Humor and corporate self-destruction. Because cranking the wheel of capitalism has never been this literal.
Thank you for playing Loop my Crank. The world of video games is something special, and being part of it is unique. We hope you enjoy this game as much as we enjoyed creating it.
With love, your favorite devs :)
Thanks for giving the game a spin <3
