This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
A new type of sailing simulator that brings a fresh interpretation of competitive sailing mechanics, with realistic wind physics! Build your own race courses, play with friends, or explore the large-scale maps!
Take charge of your own dinghy-inspired sailboat in a multiplayer PvP environment! Select from three engaging game modes to sail in: Race, King of the Hill, and Duels. Or, build your own race courses with the custom level editor!
SailFront is the first sailing simulator to gamify real sailing mechanics and rules into multiple fun game modes! Here are the current modes available in the beta, with more on the way!
Sail in traditional races, going from mark to mark to reach the finish line. Select from pre-existing race courses, or make your own using the race course level designer! During races, real racing rules of sailing are enforced. Just like real races, those that break rules are required to complete penalty turns!
King of the HillTest your rule knowledge and negotiating skills, with the King of the Hill game mode! Fight other players to claim ring zones and be awarded points. Be careful not to break any sailing rules, or you will be expelled outside the ring!

Box fight 1v1 until a collision occurs! At that point, the boat with rights wins the duel!

Powering all these game modes is SailFront's unique rule system. This system allows players to see, in real time, which boats have sailing rights, and most importantly, why. Because of this info, players who are unfamiliar with the racing rules of sailing can learn them easily! SailFront follows the virtual racing rules of sailing, which contain the most basic sailing rules. Enforcement is achieved through forced penality turns, adding a touch of realism.
In addition to the game modes mentioned above, SailFront includes a course level editor, which allows you to create your own race courses in a matter of minutes! The course editor includes many features that enable you to tailor courses to your preferences. In addition, marks will automatically set themselves to the correct rounding (port or starboard), based on their position in the course.
At the heart of SailFront is multiplayer connectivity. Unlike many existing sailing simulators, SailFront offers a lobby-style multiplayer service, where players can create their own public or private servers, and choose which servers they connect to through the join menu. This means you don’t have to wait for mysterious matchmaking to put you into a game, and you can connect with friends in an instant.
