Guide: Installing Pogo Panic on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Pogo Panic? Features and Description

Pogo Panic is a difficult, Parkour Adventure. Bounce on a pogo stick, ignite a fleeting jetpack, and vault through space. One slip-jump takes you back to the start—no checkpoints. Fail, rebound, and master the sky one desperate hop at a time.

YEAH YEAH IT LOOKS EASY, TRY IT THEN

Break the Machine

Playgrounds are silent, smiles are scheduled, and fun is filed under “forbidden.” In this clock-punching land of absolute order, one ordinary man refuses to lock away his inner kid. Stuffed into a slapdash cardboard mech suit, he bounces skyward to prove that chaos is worth every bruise.

Pogo Physics

●     Pure Momentum – Every jab of the spring obeys real-world inertia(kinda:); miss the angle and you’ll ricochet straight back to pavement.

●     No Checkpoints – One slip, restart. Skill — or sheer stubbornness — is all that keeps you going.

●     Tilt, Snap, Shatter – Platforms sway, crumble, or launch you skyward like a catapult; every surface becomes a fresh launchpad for your next leap.

Jet Jitters

●     Micro Thruster – A jury-rigged jetpack gives a heartbeat of thrust — just enough to rescue you… or send you spiraling.

●     Fuel on Fumes – The tank empties in seconds; refills are scarce and never convenient.

●     Last-Chance Heroics – Fire the thruster at the perfect millisecond to salvage free-fall panic or stretch your flight by a few humbling meters.

Obstacles With Issues

Huge moving walls that track your hops, swinging wrecking hammers, cannons that treat you like target practice — everything here craves a cardboard casserole. Outsmart them or taste the defeat .

Bounce, Crash, Climb

Expect spectacular ascents, catastrophic nosedives, and the smug grin of gravity itself. Each wipeout is a lesson; every retry is a victory lap for your sanity (and your bruises). Gravity may pull you down, but it can't stop you from going up! That’s where the glory’s at.

Ready?

Pogo a cardboard man through madness, blast that jetpack on fumes, and punch gravity where it hurts. Suit up — cereal boxes and all. (Single-player now; co-op climbing madness coming soon!) See you at the summit... if the duct tape holds.
