This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
KnightsCollege 2 is a kemono visual novel set in the Knight College, where elite knight candidates live. In this game, every choice is presented as a card, and the protagonist lives in the dormitory while collecting cards.
2025/11/27 Updated from ver.1.0.0 to ver.1.0.1 (Fixed a bug where Traditional Chinese text would display as English in Chapters 2 and 5.)
""Knights College 2"" is the sequel to the previous title, ""Knights College.""
Since the story is connected, we recommend enjoying the first game before playing this one.
・Streaming gameplay footage of ""Knights College 2"" is allowed up to Chapter 1.
Due to the story-driven nature of this visual novel, streaming from Chapter 2 onward is prohibited.
・We recommend playing this game on Windows 10 (64-bit).
Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese
(More to be added)
Argo, a young man who had been living a quiet life in a rural fishing village,
has entered the Knight Academy to become a knight and successfully advanced to his second year.
The academy, composed of students from the homeland Frontail and international students from neighboring Harshreich,
welcomes new students from each country again this year, starting a new season.

Additionally, the dragon Baten from Ludovigo joins as a student,
and the knight commander Bayfreed returns from his expedition,
bringing even more color to Argo’s academy life.
○ Graphics Overhaul
Character sprites have been renewed, and emotes have been added to the dialogue screen.
Character expressions now animate in sync with the sprites.

○ New Characters
New characters include Gamir, a new student from Frontail; Felix, an international student from Harshreich;
and Knight Commander Bayfreed.
(Another character appears later in the game.)

○ New Cards
In addition to cards from the previous title, 100 types of cards including newly added ones will appear.

○ Roommate Selection
In the previous game, roommates were fixed.
