This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Imperfect Garden is an action-packed boss rush with two levels, each culminating in a unique boss that tests your reflexes. You control a one-armed youth in a desolate world, fighting powerful Perpetuos—proving that determination can triumph over adversity.
Immerse yourself in a world that was once full of life and color, but now holds only remnants of what it used to be. Gardens that once boasted vibrant flowers and singing fountains now lie dry and covered in dust. Temples that were once majestic stand broken and half-entombed by withered vines. The wind sighs through the ruins, carrying a strange silence, as if time itself has stopped.
Across this landscape walks a nameless youth. As a child, he lost his right arm in an accident he can no longer recall clearly. Despite the pain of his prosthetic, he carries his sword with unwavering resolve.
The sky above him is forever painted in shades of orange and gray, like an endless sunset. Here dwell the Perpetuos, ancient beings wielding a dark power that relentlessly expands the desert. It is said that whenever one of them awakens, the land around them withers a little more. The youth knows that if they are left unchecked, soon nothing living will remain in this place.
Your character’s skills are essential for surviving in this hostile world:
Attack (Red): Deliver a frontal slash with your sword, engaging enemies head-on.
Dash (Blue): Execute a swift forward movement, letting you dodge enemy strikes and reposition strategically.
Parry (Yellow): Block and counterattack at the precise moment, using your sword to deflect blows and create openings.
Crossbow (Green): Draw a crossbow to strike from afar, temporarily swapping your sword for a ranged weapon.
To defeat each boss, you’ll need to blend your skills with cunning and perfect timing. Watch their tells closely: a slight recoil before a sweeping strike, a flicker of light before an energy blast, or a subtle trembling in their limbs—all signal the perfect moment to strike.
Good luck, warrior, and may your determination shine beyond the darkness!
