This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
“Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell” — a dynamic roguelike where you design your own attack patterns and defend your tower against endless waves of enemies. Upgrade, modify, and adapt your strategy in real time — can you survive the chaos of patterns?
Create Chaos: Pattern Survivors – Unleash creativity in a unique bullet hell roguelite
Add to your wishlist and start crafting your own pattern of survival.

Pattern Survivors: Bullet Hell (Roguelike) is a dynamic action game where you take control of your cosmic tower and design attack patterns yourself to stop hordes of enemies! This is not another Vampire Survivors clone – this is a bullet hell where YOU create the chaos.
The Patterns appeared suddenly. They were not alien, they were not ours… they were fundamental.
As the Tower Operator, you must adapt, create, and survive waves of cosmic threats using the most powerful weapon: imagination.
In Pattern Survivors you don’t just play a bullet hell – you design it. Set emitters, modify angles, speeds, rotations, and spread to create your own bullet formations. Every wave is a test of creativity and reflexes.
Don’t wait, don’t read tutorials – just play!
1️⃣ Click New Game -> Quick Run -> add an emitter (or choose a ready preset)
2️⃣ Configure the emitter (optional)
3️⃣ Start the wave, upgrade your tower, and watch the chaos unfold
Done – from start to battle in less than 5 seconds! And the best players will cut that time down to 2–3 seconds!
If you’re not interested in the campaign, you can pick another mode and play the campaign later – or the other way around, play the campaign first and then the other modes. Or maybe all at once?
Campaign – Action-packed storyline with dialogue choices, main and side missions, 14 unique bosses, diverse enemies, and the mystery of the Patterns to uncover.
Survival – Endless waves, increasing difficulty, and global leaderboards. You start with no abilities – how long will you survive?
Sandbox – Full freedom, test builds, create experimental patterns, and have fun with God Mode.
Quick Run – Intense action for a short 10–20 minute session, global leaderboards, perfect if you’re not into the campaign but want a quick game.
Tower Defense – A classic tower defense mode with progressive difficulty. Enemies move along set paths, and each round becomes increasingly intense. The final stage turns into an endless survival battle. Perfect for fans of traditional tower defense games.

Unique and complete Save State System (First in the world?) – Save & Quit at any time, resume exactly where you left off: with every bullet, enemy, and ability.
🎯 Create your own bullet hell – Intuitive slider-based pattern editor with ready presets, random layout generator, and the ability to save patterns as JSON files.

Buy and unlock powerful towers, rare artifacts, and unique abilities that can completely change the course of battle. Experiment with different combinations, create deadly synergies, and adapt your strategy to your playstyle – every decision can turn the tide of the fight.

Active abilities are your strategic tools: place mines anywhere on the battlefield, summon drones and support ships, set up flanking units or ambushes. Every use is a tactical choice that can decide whether you survive the next wave.
Pattern Survivors is for you if:
You enjoy games inspired by Vampire Survivors, Brotato, or Hades, but expect a fresh approach and new mechanics – this is not another clone of the well-known titles.
You love bullet hells but always dreamed of designing the attack pattern yourself.
You want a game that gives you the choice: quick sessions or a deeper campaign with a story.
You value high replayability and the ability to experiment with strategies.
If you like supporting independent solo developers without a publisher or PR – this game is made out of passion and for players just like you.
