How to Download School Ghost Stories

1. Click on the School Ghost Stories download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

In this adventure game, play as a young boy, Boku, who accidentally releases vengeful spirits from a local shrine. To fix his mistake, he must collect the ancient treasures to repair the seal. But the freed Youkai have their own plans for him and won’t make it easy. Can he resist their deadly lure?

Boku, a young boy from Tokyo, is visiting his aunt in the countryside. Excited to explore his new surroundings, he befriends a shrine maiden named Ayane and enjoys visiting her during his short vacation.

One day, while visiting Ayane as usual, Boku touches a mysterious object in the shrine, accidentally breaking a seal that unleashes vengeful spirits, called Youkai. Hearing Ayane scream, he rushes to her aid and learns about the disaster he has set in motion. To restore balance, Boku must collect the Three Treasures and gather the talismans needed to seal the Youkai away again. If he fails, the spirits will wreak havoc, and Ayane will suffer because of her heightened sensitivity to them.

Ayane directs him to the school where the Youkai are gathering. Now, Boku faces a critical hurdle: will he succumb to the spirits, or will he make the right choices to protect Ayane and save the countryside?

Explore and search for clues in the neighborhood, the shrine, and the school.

Encounter a variety of well-known Youkai and ghosts from Japanese urban legends, and uncover how to obtain the talismans and the Three Treasures, essential for sealing the spirits back into the green orb at the shrine.

Investigation and Exploration

Explore the school grounds and speak with the spirits to gather clues about the whereabouts of the talismans and the sacred treasures, which are crucial for sealing the Youkai. Return them to the shrine and, along with Ayane, face this difficult situation together.

Scary Encounters

With the school grounds now teeming with spirits, watch your every step and stay on high alert, you never know what might be lurking around the corner! If you're not careful, you could stumble right into a Youkai’s trap, and wriggling your way out won't be easy.

Choices Matter

Resist the spirits' lure, or let them devour your mind. Your choices will determine Ayane's fate and lead to different endings in the story.
