This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
The Truco you played in school or at a friend’s house — now with bots that trash talk you. You shout “I’m in,” lose with the four of cups, and hit rematch anyway. Because if it doesn’t hurt a little, it’s not Truco.
Truco is part of who we are. It's the laughter with friends, the trash talk in the schoolyard, the weekend games with your old man at the kitchen table. It’s about bluffing, daring, and sometimes folding with honor.
Truco Argentino brings that tradition to your screen. It stays true to the original rules and strategies while embracing the spirit that makes this game a cultural icon.
You're not just facing a generic AI. Each opponent has a unique personality. Some play it safe, others go all-in with weak hands just to mess with you, and there's one that seems to read your mind. Every match feels different.
Single-player mode with smart, adaptive AI.
Opponents with distinct personalities and playstyles.
Detailed match statistics: track your wins, total points, Envidos called, and more.
Unlockable achievements that reward skill, guts, and even chaos.
Card deck customization: unlock new designs and make the deck your own.
A clean, modern interface designed for fast-paced, authentic gameplay.
These bots don’t just react — they analyze. The AI in Truco Argentino watches how you play, adapts, and bites back. Some act dumb to bait you into a mistake, others push your buttons with aggressive plays or sarcastic remarks. Some shift their entire strategy mid-game just to keep you off-balance.
They respond to how you play. They adjust to what you throw. It’s not just difficulty — it’s personality.
In Truco Argentino, every decision matters. Do you trust your hand or bet on your opponent chickening out? Do you call Envido because you're strong — or because you want to make them sweat?
You can enable classic rules or mix in optional variations like Flor, all within a streamlined interface that keeps the focus on what matters: reading your rival, bluffing at the right time, and winning the mind game.
It's about saying “I want in” even when your hands are shaking. It's about learning when to push, and when to step back with pride. Even in digital form, Truco remains a ritual — a battle of wits, heart, and nerve.
If you’ve played before, it’ll feel like coming home. And if you haven’t... you’ll learn in two hands — or become a bluffing master before you know it.
