Guide: Installing Simulacro on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Simulacro? Features and Description

Simulacro is a 3D action-platformer with fast-paced combat and unusual mechanics. Set in a world of strange physics and synthetic creatures, the experience defies the norms of the genre with a unique approach.

Simulacro is an action-adventure game with a unique approach to gameplay, created by the same developer behind the Question Mark series. Although at first glance it may resemble a 3D platform game, Simulacro quickly moves away from the classic genre by introducing its own mechanics and concepts, offering the player a curious and unique experience.

The adventure unfolds in Dioramas, a world set in a universe whose laws of physics operate differently from those we know. In this place, organic life is practically non-existent, the predominant intelligent forms are composed of synthetic materials, governed by logic that escapes us. The currency in circulation is the NICA, used in everyday transactions, but the real mystery lies in the enigmatic SPIRAL COINS, rare objects with no commercial value, whose purpose remains shrouded in speculation.

In the main role is a piece... just that. A useful piece, with no apparent importance, without even a fixed name, which, by the way, is common in Dioramas. But even the most insignificant elements can change the course of a strange world, and Simulacrum is, above all, an invitation to explore the unexpected.

ABOUT THE GAMEPLAY: You will control an anthropomorphic character (no fixed name), this type can move at 3 speeds, can jump, and jump very high when on structures that grant him this ability. The character is capable of executing 2 offensive moves, a simple kick and a body turn with open arms, both moves also have other uses besides causing physical damage. The action button (check in the controls menu) is used for general interaction; such as using CONTEXT-SENSITIVE BUTTONS, using teleporters, elevators, advancing dialogues, etc... Due to the nature of the character, he is not an agile and flexible creature, so his movements are rigid and limited, but his physical constitution also grants him unique abilities.
