This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

Those who enjoy ensemble casts with intertwining motives
Visual novel players who love branching storylines with meaningful choices
This is a multi-ending visual novel set in a near-future city, where mysterious events unfold around impossible phenomena—things that grant people their deepest desires or supernatural powers.
Every choice you make carries consequences and affects your attributes, which in turn influence how each case concludes. You do not need to restart from the beginning to experience every route; once you complete a case, other routes become available. The full game is expected to take around 15 hours to complete all storylines.
To depict combat scenes, the game includes a simple click-based mini-game system. Combine cards you collect during the story or upgrade your abilities in the shop to gain the upper hand in battles. If you prefer to focus solely on the story, you can skip the mini-games via the settings.
Miyoshi Yatsushiro:
The protagonist. Heir to a kendo dojo. He once dreamed of being killed by a man in a frog mask. One day, he awakens to a unique power—the ability to seal supernatural abilities into objects—and is drawn into a conflict with mysterious villains.
Frogman:
A villain who opposes the protagonist. He spreads Soma around the city and takes pleasure in the chaos it causes. He seems to have known Miyoshi for a long time and calls him “my hero,” constantly dragging him into new incidents.
Reiri Tachibana:
The protagonist’s junior disciple. After her mother fell into a coma due to a street slasher attack, she began living with Miyoshi. Cheerful despite her circumstances, she harbors deep hatred toward the slasher known as Kuro-Oni and is determined to uncover the truth.
Invisible:
A stalker who follows Reiri. Possessing the ability to turn invisible, he worships Reiri as if she were the sun. Mistakenly convinced that Miyoshi is the slasher Kuro-Oni, he targets him for assassination.
Cupio:
A chimera girl. Once an experimental animal that escaped from a research lab, she gained powers through Soma and took on human form. Though not human, she possesses strong desires and grows close to Miyoshi.
Masatoshi Shinohara:
An officer from the Public Security Bureau. After losing both arms in a terrorist attack, he developed a deep hatred for criminals. With powers granted by Soma, he seeks to eliminate evildoers by any means necessary.
Mimi:
A self-proclaimed deity visible only to Miyoshi. She has no physical form and suffers from amnesia. Her hobby is People-watching, and her favorite food is mizuyokan (sweet bean jelly).
