Guide: Installing Davis Haunted House on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Davis Haunted House? Features and Description

Davis Haunted House is a 2D Top-Down Survival Horror game based on the story of a haunted house that was built during the 1970s, haunted by demons and other evil spirits.

Davis Haunted House is a 2D Top-Down Survival Horror game based on the story of a haunted house that was built during the 1970s, haunted by demons and other evil spirits.

Davis House was first built during the 1970s by a rich entrepreneur, Davis, who lived in the house with his family. A tragic incident occurred during the 1980s, which was actually the beginning of the paranormal activities in the house. It was said that Davis's sons actually carried out a Satanic ritual in the basement area, which brought in evil forces inside the house. One of his sons went crazy after the ritual and was admitted to a mental hospital in the city. After he returned home from the hospital, his mother actually noticed that there was something wrong with his behavior even though the doctor said that he was perfectly healthy. During the midnight hours, he took an axe and charged towards his mother, who was on the staircase, but he slipped and fell down the stairs and died.

His spirit is often seen holding an axe in the attic and basement even today. During the 1990s, Davis sold the house to a family. Soon after the family moved in, they started experiencing paranormal activities. The activity increased to the point that it compelled the family to ask Mia, a local paranormal investigator, to check out the house and to help out the family.

You play as Mia, the paranormal investigator, and your mission is to investigate the whole house for paranormal evidence. Will you be able to help out the family?
