This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Experience next level board control, skate with friends, and film insane tricks in the most immersive skateboarding game ever made.

The closest to actual skateboarding you can get. Virtual Skate is the newest evolution of skateboarding games. Your hands control your feet giving you intuitive and next level board control. Skate with friends, customize your skater, grab a camera and film your tricks, or test your skills with challenging obstacle courses.

The evolution of skate game controls... First we had button presses, then single stick controls, next we had dual stick controls. Virtual Skate let's you control the board in all new dimensions. Each hand controls a foot directly, like hand boarding. Instead of having a 2D axis to control each foot, you now have full 3D control over your feet. Not only does this open up a whole new world of board control, it also let's you style your tricks in ways that aren't possible with canned animations.

Grab a camera and actually film your tricks. The fully interactive replay mode allows you to follow skaters to film lines with ease, zoom in and out, ramp slow mo, and play back your favorite clips. Not only is the replay system immersive and nostalgic for those of us who skate, it brings a whole new skill to filming. Every skate crew has a filmer friend, someone who can actually hold a camera steady... Well now they can skate with you, rewind time in replay mode, and film the whole crew including themselves. The camera also sports a little fisheye when you zoom out enough.

Skate with up to 3 of your friends online! Hang out or get some clips with the homies. Voice chat, lip sync animations, and hand gestures let you express yourself naturally. Join a Quick Skate game to skate and socialize with new people or find your friends via the Sessions browser.

Express your style with a myriad of customization options for both your skater and your board. Make your look stand out just as much as your skating.

Looking to challenge yourself? Test your skills on a variety of obstacle courses, get medals for beating time limits, or push yourself to beat your own time record.
Get VR motion sickness easily? Try Lines Mode, a completely stationary experience where obstacles come to you. No movement, no rotation, all the same skateboarding!
Customize your gameplay using the stats menu and make your experience comfortable with options like board offset, snap rotation, or a custom vignette.
Virtual Skate puts you on the board and lets you feel every pop, grind, and impact, without the broken bones and rolled ankles. Perfect for the old heads who can't huck it down big stair sets like they used to, or for rainy days that ruin a good session. Link up with friends, shred all day, and keep stacking clips.
