This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Anomaly-Spotting Horror inside a cursed manor ruled by the twisted lawyer Dr. John Ravenwood, his voice following your every step and decision. Time loops, shifting horrors, and cruel games await. Spot anomalies. Sign his contract… and no, you don’t get another lawyer.
Dr. John Ravenwood was once a lawyer, until the day he lost his daughter. From that moment the happy life of the Ravenwood family turned into a nightmare. His wife blamed him and left the house, and he was left alone with his mother, who slowly began to lose her mind.
Now you have stepped into his manor, and he will not let you go until you play his little game, just like the others before you.
The manor holds many rooms, each a little different.
Every corner hides a secret, and time bends and twists inside these walls.
Once you enter one of his events, the clock starts ticking.
You are trapped in a loop, and now you have to spot the anomalies.
John Ravenwood is always watching, waiting for you to make your decision.
Spotting the anomalies is only the first step.
To survive, you must make the right choice by signing the correct phrase in his contract.
You have to play his game by his rules each round, and every signature matters.
One mistake is enough… and the consequences will be unavoidable.
If you fail to complete the contract, or if time runs out, John will send his mother after you.
Mama is silent, fast, and merciless.
You can try to run, you can try to hide,
but this is punishment, and only your luck can save you.
🔹 Find the Anomalies – Each room hides a paranormal disturbance… or does it?
🔹 Time is Expensive – Every round has a timer. If you hesitate too long, John grows angry.
🔹 Sign the Contract – Mark the correct phrase. A single mistake is enough to disappoint him, and disappointment always leads to punishment.
🔹 Hide if You Can – When Mama comes, you may run or hide, but you cannot truly escape her.
🔹 Endless Loops – Fail, and the cycle resets. You are forced to play again until you succeed or perish.
🔹 A Voice You Cannot Escape – John is always present. He mocks, jokes, guides, and toys with you through radios and whispers.
🔹 Two Endings – The story leads to a final decision, and your choice shapes how it all ends.
The anomalies shift. The rules may twist. John Ravenwood’s game adapts to you,
and he will do everything he can to keep you trapped inside.
There is no simple way out. He does not only want your life. He wants to break you.
There is no escape. The only question is: can you outplay John Ravenwood and survive his manor?
