This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
"NINDO: Guardian of the starlit shadow" is a ninja rogue-like deck-building game set in a beautiful Japanese-inspired world. Face powerful enemies, make strategic choices, and grow stronger to craft a unique battle style.

[Important: This is an Early Access (MVP) minimal build]
・No need to rush your purchase. If it’s not for you, refunds are OK.
・This is a deck-building roguelite built around the tactile feel that “every turn’s choice matters.”
・A story- or cutscene-heavy experience is not included in this title (that direction is being considered for a separate project).
・The demo allows you to play through the first layer. The content is identical to the full version; only the automatic ending after clearing Layer 1 is exclusive to the demo.
・If you are satisfied after playing the demo, we recommend purchasing the full (Early Access) version.
[Who it’s for]
・Players who enjoy building their own win conditions through deck construction
・Players who want to feel each turn’s decision meaningfully affect the outcome
・Players who like 20–40 minute roguelite runs they can replay
・Players who enjoy touching a game in its early stage and watching it grow
[Who it isn’t for (we recommend waiting for the full release)]
・Players who prefer to relax and enjoy the game only after it’s fully complete
・Players seeking a long, story- or presentation-driven experience
・Players expecting a large roster of characters/cards from day one
[Current scope (will be kept up to date with real measurements)]
・One run: 20–40 minutes
・Playable characters: 1
・Cards: 50
[Development & update policy (guideline)]
・Update cadence: about once per month (around the 20th each month, JST)
・Only progression-blocking critical issues will be hotfixed as they arise.
[Community & reporting]
・All feedback is centralized in the Steam Community discussions.
・We’ll share status via News posts and update announcements.
[Pricing & before you buy]
・Early Access uses a modest price; we plan to increase the price for the full release (in line with added content).
・Please check “Who it’s for / isn’t for” before purchasing. If it’s not your thing, please refund—your time matters most when the game truly fits you.
