This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Collect D.O.T.S. across the many maze-like floors of a mysterious estate while finding new items to upgrade your abilities in Maze Estate Escape, a co-op rougelite for 1-3 players!
Trapped in a mysterious estate called the "Labyrinth Inn" with no recollection of how you got there, you only know one thing: the key to your escape might be related to these strange "D.O.T.S." scattered throughout the estate's seemingly infinite interior. Spaceships? Swamps? High schools? What ISN'T inside this kooky hotel!?
In Maze Estate Escape, you and up to two friends are tasked with collecting D.O.T.S. within a series of mazes. Collecting enough will open the elevator doors and allow you to progress deeper in the estate, while also giving you a selection of upgrades to choose from.
To impede your progress, a series of undead gem wraiths guard the D.O.T.S. accompanied by their chosen leader: a boss with their own unique ability. The bosses, mazes, and upgrades you encounter will be different every run, so be prepared for anything!
Fight back against the maze's monsters with fireballs, power-ups, and Fever abilities to make it out alive!
Maze Estate Escape features a quirky cast of characters, each belonging to a specific class. Burn through the undead with Power type characters, or zoom through the mazes with Speed type characters. Each class offers unique benefits and drawbacks that change the way you play!
Each character also comes equipped with their own unique Fever ability, ensuring no two characters play the same!
As you go through the floors of the maze, you'll gain Mastery with your characters: unlocking new costumes for them to wear. Additionally, you'll earn Gem Shards you can spend to unlock new characters or to furnish your very own room inside the Labyrinth Inn!
* In local multiplayer, only one player may use keyboard. Additional players must join in using a controller.
