This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

SIM SPORTS RAID is a racing simulator (simracing) focused on RALLY-RAID and NAVIGATION that aims to provide users with a realistic experience, both in terms of physics and competition. As an additional complement, we also offer, through our App, management tools so that organizers, communities, brands, groups of friends, leisure centers, etc., can design their personalized proposals.
SIM SPORTS RAID allows you to compete, in a very realistic way, in Rally-Raid and Navigation events. Feel the competition and the orientation as a real pilot, with the help of your co-driver, the road map and the assistance.
WEAR AND TEAR, BREAKDOWNS AND AIDS
In order to be successful in these modalities, it is essential that you take care of your vehicle. The most important thing is to finish the stages with as little damage as possible, without penalties and without repair penalties. Keep an eye on your shock absorbers, treat your tires well and avoid those objects that damage them; do not force the engine and keep an eye on the temperature of your radiator.
If you get lost, you can also ask for help from your GPS and if you overturn or enter areas that you cannot get out of by your own means, you can ask for a hand. Of course, with its cost in time.
WEATHER
In the free training mode, you can apply the meteorology you want, within those that are offered as the game progresses.
For the design of events, the organizers can create a personalized weather evolution that will be the same for all participants.
Each terrain, each texture, has a different behavior in both dry and wet conditions, so you will notice the change in the physics as the weather evolves.
TELEMETRY AND REPLAYS
The information of the official events is collected on our servers. This information serves as a copy of the users' performances and as a control of their participation and available to the organization.
PUBLIC AND OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS
From SIM SPORTS we propose events so that you can compete without worrying about anything else. We also provide tools so that communities, brands, groups of friends, teams, leisure centers, etc., can create their proposals in a simple way.
The official events consist of stages that are only used in that kind of events, so they cannot be trained in a repetitive way. In this way, the participants' strengths are equalized.
Public events are made up of stages that are free to use. They can be trained much more and will serve you not only to compete but also to train you thoroughly.
CREATE YOUR OWN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Licensed users can create their own events using the stages and vehicles available to them. With the administration and management tools, it is possible to inform licensees of these proposals in a simple way, guaranteeing maximum diffusion. In addition, we can customize the advertising of the events and even of the information pages.
During the “early access” phase of SIM SPORTS RAID, we will limit the number of organizers who can create their own events in order to measure interest and size the structure accordingly.
ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT
We know that there are mainly two types of players in these disciplines: “gamers” and “simracers”. For the latter we offer tools with which you will be able to publish the rules of your events, control the starting times, evaluate the competition without the need of additional stewards and many more utilities that we will be incorporating.
This mode offers players the possibility of facing each other in “one on one” duels through circuits all over the world. You can face each other in many different ways, depending on your intention:
VERSUS MODE
With this system you will face the replays of drivers from all over the world. It's like an AI, but with the big difference that those lines, those timings, that driving style was made by a real player. A possible rival. You can even face your own replays, which will serve as training.
QUICK MODE
A way to face any user in a very simple and fast way. You only have to choose a circuit, a vehicle and? that's it! All you have to do is wait for an opponent to click on your proposal and in 30 seconds you will be facing each other face to face. It couldn't be easier.
CHAMPIONSHIP MODE
Through this competition mode, authorized users will be able to create events of up to 256 players in “one-on-one” duels with “tennis-style” squares. There are even consolation duels so that everyone can compete in the same number of races. And we'll leave it all to you on our website. Call, registration, draw, scheduling, results, next duels... everything you need to offer a fast and exciting competition to your community, friends, teams, clients, etc.
