This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Step into a nightmare where every level hides a deadly secret. Trapped in a twisted maze of endless corridors and eerie rooms, every door you open could be your last, and every step could lead you deeper into danger. Can you stay calm, solve the mysteries, and find a way out ?
Immerse yourself in a haunting journey that challenges your sanity, where every level is a riddle waiting to be solved and every moment is filled with unsettling uncertainty.
You find yourself trapped in a dark, twisted dreamscape, an endless maze of dimly lit hallways and desolate rooms that seem to stretch on forever. Each step forward is hesitant, as the very environment feels alive, intent on confusing and disorienting you. The oppressive atmosphere weighs heavily, with shadows that flicker and dance, and every creak and whisper echoing from unseen corners fills you with unease. It's a world where even the air seems to pulse with dread, and the question is not only where you are but whether you can truly escape.
Inspired by the eerie mystery of the classic backrooms, this game turns every door into a gamble and every room into a potential nightmare. There is a constant, unshakable feeling that something is watching, always lurking just out of sight. The silence is broken only by the occasional distant sound—a reminder that you're not alone. The only way to survive is to stay calm, think clearly, and press forward, but each decision feels like a step deeper into the unknown. Beware, because you won’t always know where you're heading, and sometimes, turning back might not be an option.
Can you uncover the hidden secrets of these shifting levels before it’s too late? The dynamics here are elusive, and only those with sharp minds and steady nerves can hope to make it through unscathed.
Prepare yourself to lose your sense of direction, solve cryptic puzzles, and confront your deepest fears as you venture deeper into the unknown. This is more than a game; it is a test of your wits and courage, challenging you to unravel the mystery before you become a part of it forever.
