This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

(If you encounter any bugs, please email getupinthenight@126.com, and the author will fix them immediately. Of course, the game basically has no bugs, you can complete it smoothly, as it has been tested countless times during the EA period.)

Please watch the game trailer!
Are you thinking... the game's art is too simplistic!
This is an indie game made by one person. The game has no outsourcing; all work is done by me alone. In a way, this is a true "indie game."
Don't leave yet, listen to me pleading on my knees: "Although the game's art is simple, it's minimalistic yet not simplistic. With just a few strokes, it captures the characters' spirit, vivid and lifelike on the screen... Alright, if you really don't like the game's art style, I promise, apart from this, the game has no other flaws! The game's music is super good, the game mechanics are super innovative, and the game genre is super diverse. Please buy it, play it, try it~"
No kidding, this game truly contains massive creativity. At first, the game is an action-puzzle game, but as you play, subtly and completely in line with the story progression, it transforms into a stat-allocation RPG. Isn't that amazing? No kidding.
Yes, the biggest highlight of this game is the plot! On the surface, it's a black-humor orthodox sci-fi story, but at its core, it's a story that satirizes reality for fun.
The protagonist of the story is naturally that unlucky old man, but slowly, subtly, just as mentioned in my previous box, completely in line with the story progression, suddenly, the aliens also become playable protagonists... After a while, cosmic monsters also become playable game protagonists.
This game introduces the multiverse concept, so anything is possible in the game, yet everything moves toward a destined ending!
(Welcome to play, I only act cryptic in the description!)
No need for many words, playing with a keyboard can be done entirely with one hand, left or right.
"Get Up In The Night" already has three completely different game endings, but is everything really over? Of course not. I will update END4 in the near future. Stay tuned.
Finally, welcome to try the demo, welcome to purchase (orz)!
