Guide: Installing Space Zone on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Space Zone? Features and Description

The world's first science-based photorealistic interactive 3D planetarium that models the entire Universe, using procedural generation for uncharted areas.

Space Zone is a science-based 1:1 scale simulation of the universe, featuring billions and billions of galaxies, nebulae, stars and planets shown in full, real-life scale. You can explore all of time and space - travel between the stars at a million times the speed of light. Each planet you encounter on your journey will have a procedural 3D landscape with detailed textures. Everything you see in the sky—stars and galaxies, planets and moons, neutron stars, star clusters and nebulae—is yours to explore. At your disposal is a spaceship that allows you to fly anywhere in the universe in Flight Simulator mode.
Features of the Space Zone Planetarium:
All types of celestial objects are represented: galaxies, nebulae, stars and star clusters. Regions of space not yet cataloged contain procedurally generated objects: galaxies, stars, star clusters, nebulae and planetary systems.
CONTROL:
You can move freely throughout the universe - move smoothly between any objects and at any distance, from the surface to orbit, into interstellar and intergalactic space. Moving around the space is as simple as click and go, with game-style free flight using the WASD keys or gamepad.
GRAPHIC:
Volumetric 3D models of galaxies and nebulae with interstellar dust clouds, as well as 3D landscapes of planets and stars. Many solar system bodies use actual space probe data, and huge high-resolution texture packs are available as free DLC. For unmapped and procedural planets, the surface is generated procedurally using your computer's GPU.
SPACE SCIENCE:
International Space Station exploration mode. You can explore the station inside and out. At the same time, it is possible to control the time scale. You can speed up time or stop it, for example, to watch sunsets or sunrises from a space station.
The world is completely open and is a highly detailed 3D universe. There are a number of tools for easy navigation through the solar system and the milky way.
