Guide: Installing Bunny Bunker on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Bunny Bunker? Features and Description

Strategy by day, tactical tower defense by night. Build a bunny colony, manage resources, and defend against nightly monster attacks in this mix of city building and tower defence. Help your bunnies escape to the stars before the darkness destroys everything.

Bunny Bunker mixes base-building with tower defense as you build your bunny colony. Help your colony get strong enough to launch into space and escape the hordes that attack every night. With around 5 hours of gameplay.

In the world of Bunny Bunker, you lead a determined colony of bunnies on a mission to build, survive, and reach the stars in their home made rockets. Every day brings new challenges and every night threatening the safty of your colony, you'll need to optimize resources, construct defenses, and guide your worker, builder and warriors bunnies through dangerous waves of darkness and despair (sorry for the tackynes, but these 3 words just sounded cool together).

Plan and expand your colony to create a functioning econonomy. To keep going, you harvest wood, stone, and carrots to sustain your population and build essential infrastructure. Maintain food supplies and build infrastructure to support defense efforts and unlock rocket technology.

Daylight hours are for resource gathering, repairs, and nighttime planning. Night are for intense tower defense battles - where you use the walls, traps and towers that was build during the day, and move your Warrior Bunnies around to protect against monstrous invaders that finds ways around your defences. Unlock and upgrade towers and traps to withstand increasingly difficult night assaults.

With each hostile wave becoming more and more difficult, build toward the escape before things gets to crazy: a rocket launch.

Build up everything and prepare your colony for a one-way trip to space before the monsters of the dark destroys the colony.

  • Engaging survival loop: balance daytime planning with nighttime defense

  • Resource-driven gameplay: manage farms for food, quarries, and wood production

  • Deep tower defense mechanics: build custom walls, towers and traps to defeat the monsters

  • Satisfying campaign progression: one colony at a time progress through all of the 15 colonies.

The planet where the Bunnies live was once a paradise, its bunkers brimming with laughter and community. But monsters, having plenty to eat, grew strong in their nunmbers and agression. Now, groups of Bunnies build defences and live in close communities to fight of the enemies.

Your role is to these colonies through strategic construction and nighttime combat.

Give hope a chance—and bring your Bunnies to the stars!

Bunny Bunker brings together resourceful city building, tense night tower defense, and a get out alive on the rocket. Build your base, command your warriors, and blast off before the darkness consumes all.
