This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Destroy the evil witch that contaminated the region and cursed their happy habitants to convert them into horrible (but cute) monsters. This auto attacker with deck building mechanics to customize your character presents a casual game, frenetic and fun, full of magic and adventure.
Somewhere in the world, where the magic and fairy tales are far for gone yet, a big war of fantastic and powerful beings was fought. Now, only ruins from old empires remain and there are evil entities that want to take control over the recently raided. Your MASTER is one of them and you, his faithful minion, must obey and fulfill all of his wishes!
In this case, the witch came out of her swampy lands again to corrupt the entire landscape that your master likes to travel so much. It's time to make that evil witch stop once and for all her aspirations for expansion and never leave her dirty swamp again.
You are a little imp who, imbued with your master's powers, will make your way to the witch's house in her swamp, destroying enemies created by her and freeing all affected areas from their corruption. In this friendly and terrifying auto-battler, you will collect the souls of enemies trapped by the witch to power your own attacks. Level by level, you will unlock new powers that your master will give you and you will be able to put together your own set of attacks and skills to face everything that the witch can throw at you.
Auto-attacker: dodge enemy attacks while collecting their souls to gain power. Each ability has different tiers to unlock.
Spells and tools: Not only you will have auto-attacks to overcome the challenges, also you will have many spells and potions that you will aim and cast against the enemies.
Lair actions: The witch will not give you a break. Each level have a lair action prepared to kill any invader.
