Guide: Installing Panic Delivery on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Panic Delivery? Features and Description

A 4-player co-op horror comedy where you drop in as couriers delivering packages in a dystopian world ruled by grotesque monsters. You share 99 lives - deliver, don’t die, and make it count!

Oh, new humans! How exciting! ✨

Welcome to Panic Delivery - the most wonderful job opportunity for hardworking humans looking for meaningful (but mandatory) work.

Let’s talk business - you are a COURIER - teaming up with other COURIERS - to deliver, recover and smuggle packages to our host of beautiful monsters in our ✨ stunning, dystopian, monster-run world ✨!

First and likely the most important factor for humans - work-life balance! As part of our employer-employee insurance policy, we’ve invested in a state-of-the-art cloning program! Throughout your employment, you get 99 backup clones. With every death, a fresh clone is deployed to continue your hard work.

Run out of “lives”? Everything resets - like nothing ever happened. But you keep your purchased swag! Talk about efficiency! 😊

I’m sure you’re worried already - but fear not! With the Speetchy you get from missions, we’re selling you weapons & tools to help defend yourselves, as well as some "boujee swag" in exchange for Bonus Permits. Besides securing your personal safety, we know you humans love Dopamine!

Speaking of not dying - don’t worry! There shouldn’t be too much pressure about it. You can always team up with fellow Couriers. This means two fun things: delivering packages and dying together!

Oh, and you won’t be stuck in just one lovely workplace! We take pride in offering a wide variety of delivery routes across our ✨ ever-expanding operational zones ✨.  Haunted houses, panic factories and the Antarctic base bring new sights, new challenges, and new ways to perish - oops! I mean, grow.

And our unfriendly neighbourhood monsters! So diverse! So unique! So… hungry! Each one has their own personality, preferences, and exciting ways of interacting with Couriers. We highly encourage you to observe them closely - from a safe distance, if possible!

We’re always looking for enthusiastic humans who can follow simple instructions, survive impossible situations, and keep smiling through it all! Apply now. Your shift is waiting.
