Guide: Installing Clossure on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Clossure? Features and Description

I know, it should be one "s". I don't mind. In a surreal and mysterious world, a piece of heaven fell onto a hill below the sky. Since that day, none have seen the top of that hill, even though all have longed to. You intend to change that... don't you? This is a top down pixel art rpg.

This game will be released in chapters. The first chapter (and game) is available for $0.99.
Each subsequent chapter will be released as a DLC for this game for $0.99 as well.
There are no plans for pre-purchasing chapters at this time.

This game is rendered in 966 x 699 simply as a bizarre creative choice.

This game contains sequences of flashing imagery that may be problematic for some players. This can be disabled in the options.

Let's see... how did it go again...

For as long as there have been tongues to speak, people have spoken of HEAVEN. A perfect place. Far above us all.
For almost as long, (although perhaps not quite as long) people have spoken of another tale, related to the PARADISE above.
A piece of heaven fell, fell onto a hill below the sky. It shines, you see it even now, don't you?
Since that piece of HEAVEN fell, none with eyes to see have seen the top of that hill.
And every single one of them... has longed to.

You long for it too... don't you.

This world is strange.

It's magical, surreal, quite mysterious at times. Difficult to understand, don't you think?
Perhaps... perhaps we aren't quite meant to understand it all. That's ok I think.
Just so long as we know what we need to, what we really really want to, that's what counts I think.
Sure is fun to ponder though, even if not everything is 'solved'.

This world is fun.

You might get some new abilities once you're there. Heck, you might HAVE to.
Might make some new friends too! And some... "friends"... legally anyway.

With those abilities, you can do all sorts of magical things. But you might have to switch forms to use some abilities.
Joy, Rage, Sadness... there's power in the emotions. Different powers in each. You have strong feelings, I know. You can use them!

New pals can bring all sorts of things to the table. Aside from helping you in battle, they'll probably have special abilities for puzzle solving too!
It's always nice to have a friend who can help you solve puzzles. You've done that for me I know.

This world is hard.

Lots of things can... kill... you...
Even if you have a way to avoid death, you still can't just fight everything.
Not everything will be told to you so easily either.
And even if you do find a way to "save", you won't be able to do it whenever you want to. And the statues you use
won't always be super easy to get to.

Or maybe I'm just overthinking it... you're always stronger than I think you are haha.
But there was that one time I overestimated you too...
Well, I guess we'll just have to see, won't we?
Well... you will anyways.

This world is dark.

Like- very, very dark... sometimes...
I know you think you know but... you don't REALLY know yet. I might not even.
And some people have seen the worst of it... you know?
You might see the worst of it yourself... depending on what happens...
Promise me you'll stay strong, won't you?
