This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Point and click game, with emphasis on narrative, time management, and luck on the dice!
You’re a musician hired by a cruising line, and will be aboard the Santa Felicidade cruise ship for seven days. The ship will set out from Belém, making five stops: Maceió, Salvador, Búzios, Santos, and its final destination, Paranaguá, where you’ll disembark.
Your goal is to find inspiration and compose four songs for your new album, 100% Plasma Vitae. To do this, you’ll look for people that can express the emotions you want to convey in your compositions, they being: ambition, vivacity, tranquility, and intellect. Such a task will require connections, social sharpness, and careful planning, apart from a little luck, like everything else in life, but you’re sure that you’re capable of it.
Nonetheless, good luck, and bon voyage.
Overcome your creative block by developing your relationship with the characters, and discovering their own wacky stories. Progress is made through a dice rolling mechanic, which can be entirely based on luck or explored strategically by planning the distribution of the character's attribute points, the VITA system: Vivacity, Intellect, Tranquility, and Ambition, each associated with a character.
There are four dialogues and four interactions for each character. Answer points in interactions must be greater than creative block points to succeed in the dialogues. Fixed and temporary attribute points increase your chances of advancing.
By succeeding in the dialogue, the creative block is overcome, and so the character become inspired to add a new instrument to the album's composition. When the whole story of one character is told, and you had successful in the dialogues, the song that represents said character will be completed. The objective is to finish all songs before the end of the cruise route, thus completing the album 100% Plasma Vitae.
The game takes place on the Brazilian coast, on a cruise ship. Visit different sections of the ship, and interact with each one in distinct ways, making use of your attributes and game progress. Work, have fun, and get to know the story of each of the characters.
4 characters to interact with, each representing one of the characteristics sought by the protagonist, all with unique art and story:
Alice, the cold poker player, and her story involving poker, cults, and a lot of mystery;
Beth, the intense Olympic swimmer, and her story about the origins of her unprecedented fascination with water;
Ohana, the ambitious director of a hotel chain, and her story about a curious event that shaped her career;
Anabela, the shy and intelligent translator, and her story about translating a book that only she could understand;
Could there be a connection between each of the stories?...
4 difficulty levels, divided into blood types, which will determine the character's initial attributes, making progress easier or more difficult;
4 soundtracks that will be composed as the player progresses, and which will result in the music album called 100% Plasma Vitae.
