How to Download Rune Gate

1. Click on the Rune Gate download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

Rune Gate is a deck-building roguelite where you design your own cards by slotting in runes of various elements. Gather your party, craft your runes, gear up and defend against hordes of enemies from the Rune Gate. How long can you survive?

The Rune Gate has been breached, as the commander of the bridge guard, you must recruit champions of various specialties and defend against hordes of enemies from the gate. Rune Gate is a deck-building roguelite where you can design your own cards by slotting in runes of various elements.

Customizable Your Card Your Way

The Rune system makes card customization super fast and easy. It's up to you how to craft synergies across different cards, and how strong or useful each card is. Slot in attack runes, you get a high damage card; Slot in draw or energy runes, you get an utility card; Slot in debuff runes, you get yourself a curse card. Need a new slot? Just upgrade your card!

A Sea of Runes to Choose From

Right now there are around 100 runes in the game, each rune has its own signature and restraint. They can be earned through combat after unlocked or crafted through lower tier runes. And more runes will be added through out the development process.

Team-Based Combat

You use a party of champions against enemies on the other side. Each champion has its own type of weapon and runes to play with. Each type of weapon is a deck with its own unique sets of cards to build from. There are 18 champions for you to recruit, 3 of each elemental type.

Yes... There Are Loot

Not only can you get runes after combat, you can also get gears and augments. Gears can boost your champions' offence and defense abilities, they also have runes slotted in for you to use when equipped. Augments can give your champions a unique buff in combat once equipped.

Wait... You Can Summon?

Followers are also a type of "Gear" you can get and can be summoned during battle. They have their own move sets which are also a set of cards that can also be customized through runes.

Fame-Based Meta Progression

Fame can be gained through combat in each realm. You can use them to permanently unlock certain runes and give yourself various advantages to help you progress further in future runs.
