Guide: Installing Cropisle TD on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Cropisle TD? Features and Description

After an earthquake, you're sent to an island for rebuilding. Face nightly critter attacks, set up towers, and farm. Your mission is to seal the island or secure crops before defenses are breached. Now, grab your shovel and hammer, and enter the defensive battle!

This is a card-based Roguelite game that combines farming and tower defense elements. In this fictional world, you play as a farmer sent to a deserted island to grow crops. While farming, you'll also need to build defense towers to fend off small animals that try to steal your food every night. During the tower defense phase, each cycle rewards you with a new island plot to plan your route and expand your farmland. Along the way. There are many desert islands and stranded islanders in the ocean. After linking them, you can turn the desert into an oasis, rescue the islanders, and receive additional rewards.. Once the defense phase is over, you can exchange your harvested crops for points in the store, which can be used to unlock and upgrade various towers and crops.

Game Overview

At least 5-8 hours of gameplay
2 major game modes
17 unique buildings
15 different types of land plots
8 types of enemies with unique mechanics

· Every round offers a random combination of cards, land plots, and enemies, ensuring a controlled yet unpredictable battle experience.

· All defensive towers and crop cards have individual tech trees on the periphery, and allow players to adjust the draw probability of cards during battle through deck management. They are also easy to upgrade, requiring no excessive grinding.

· Each round lasts around 10~15 minutes, making the game perfect for unwinding after a long day or a hefty 3A title.

· The game periodically grants you random island modules. Once built, these extend the enemy's path while also increasing your planting and building area.

· Before confirming your build, you can rotate and move the island to alter its path and orientation, fulfilling strategic and tactical needs.

· Both difficulty and rewards scale with the complexity of your island path—higher risks yield higher returns.

· Different land plots and crops provide unique adjacency bonuses to your towers.

· These adjacency effects can stack, offering diverse layout strategies based on your combat style.
