Guide: Installing Tag Online on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

What is Tag Online? Features and Description

The world's most universal game, but with a unique twist! Play a variation of tag where your choices determine whether or not you can tag other players.

Over thousands of years, mankind has invented several variations of tag. Experience one of the most amazing and unique of them - the Indian game of kho-kho - brought to life as a multiplayer experience. Your choices determine which parts of the field you can tag opponents in: use the switch-blocks in the middle section of the field and the bright-green free zones at either end of the field to transition between different areas and hunt down other players for points. The game has a time structure, with each player given 60 seconds to tag and score points; matches are 1v1 or free-for-all with 3+ players.

What you're getting:
* A basic text tutorial
* Practice mode (you can experiment with tagging a dummy NPC in different parts of the field and learn how the game works)
* Multiplayer (the basic idea is that each player has a 60-second turn to tag others, and the player with the most points at the end of the match wins. Defenders can evade taggers by going into the red parts of the field, and the taggers can use certain parts of the field to change which areas are red or green. Players that are tagged respawn, so a single defender can be tagged multiple times by the same tagger.)

Before you buy:
If you want to see more features, sports, etc, consider buying at a later date. For example, the rematch feature does not work properly yet, the tiebreaking is nonfunctional, and the Survivor game mode (an additional game mode on top of the Classic mode described above) is only partially functional.

Future of this game:
More sports will be added, such as Langdi (a hopping form of tag).
