How to Download Tower Tales

1. Click on the Tower Tales download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

In a world beset by conflict and war, a new threat has emerged in the form of a powerful necromancer. This villain, long believed to be nothing more than a legend, has arisen with an army of dark servants, intent on conquering the realm and destroying the magical seals that keep an ancient, dark deity imprisoned.
Grab your sword and become the “Herald of the Free Kingdom”, and unite the free peoples and minor kingdoms under a single banner to withstand the forces of the Necromancer.

These minor kingdoms were formed in the aftermath of a great war, when the lands were divided into smaller kingdoms to prevent another tyrant from rising to power. Despite their lack of military might, these minor kingdoms have proven themselves to be resilient and resourceful, while the free people, despite their backgrounds and beliefs, share a common aspiration for freedom and self-determination.

Your army shall be known as the "Shield of Light" and, with it, you will come to the aid of the great kingdoms, defending them against the Necromancer's attempt to seize control of the world. As their leader, you must march forward with determination and courage, rallying your troops to defend these realms with all their might.

These kingdoms stand out in their struggle against the Necromancer: the Ailorian Empire, with its wealth and mercenary army, Yovaria, known for its skilled hunters and carpenters, Augareth, with its impressive navy, and the Lok-atthar Dynasty, in its isolated and frigid valley. Despite their strengths, each is vulnerable to the Necromancer's army.

The fate of these kingdoms and the entire realm rests on the few brave enough to resist the darkness and confront the Necromancer. Can they prevail against the power of the dark army and protect the realm from destruction? Only time and destiny will tell.

Build and Upgrade

This fantasy tower defense game offers players four different types of towers to protect their kingdom. The towers are divided into two categories: physical damage and magical damage. The physical damage towers include the Archer Tower, which fires individual projectiles that deal direct damage to single targets, and the Barracks Tower, which spawns soldiers to engage enemies in close combat.
The magical damage towers include the Arcane Tower, which fires a stream of projectiles that deal damage in an area and have various effects, and the powerful Laser Tower, which deals consistent damage to a single enemy until it is defeated. Players must strategically use these towers to fend off waves of enemies and upgrade them to become an unstoppable force against any threat to their kingdom.

When upgrading, they can choose from a variety of upgrades to improve the tower's range, attack speed, damage, and type. For example, a player can upgrade the Archer Tower, which shoots individual projectiles that inflict direct damage to a single target, to become a Crossbow Tower that shoots faster and more accurately, increasing its range and damage.

Upgrading towers in Tower Tales can provide significant advantages to the player. Improving a tower's range can allow it to attack enemies from a greater distance, making it more difficult for the enemy to approach and attack the base. Increasing the tower's attack speed can allow it to fire more shots in a shorter amount of time, dealing more damage to enemies and potentially taking them down more quickly. Upgrading the damage of a tower can make it more effective against tougher enemies or enemy groups. And while improving each tower stats you will discover their stories too.
