Guide: Installing Steal It on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

          Steal It

Steal It is an online multiplayer game 🎮 where it depends on who has the most coins 🪙 at the end of a round.

Coins can either be obtained as rewards by completing tasks ✅ or by stealing them from other players 🕵️‍♂️.

The game has two game modes: a team mode 🤝 and a free-for-all mode 💥.

In team mode, there are two teams. One team tries to get coins by completing tasks 🧩 while the other tries to steal them undetected 😈.

The players have the opportunity to track down thieves 🧐 and lock them up in prison 🚔.

In the free-for-all mode, everyone is on their own 🏃‍♂️. At certain time intervals ⏳, the abilities you can use will change 🔄. You can either steal 🕶️ or perform tasks 🛠️.

          Shadow-Heist

Shadow-Heist is a team-based mode where two sides face off—Owners and Thieves.Owners must complete tasks around the map to collect coins 💰, while the Thieves blend in with the crowd, trying to steal without getting caught. 🕵️‍♂️🔓

Each team has 3 unique abilities to give them an edge. Owners can use abilities to move faster or place decoy bodies, while Thieves have tools to remain undetected, like a signal jammer or an ability to temporarily disable another player. 🎯🔧

If Owners suspect someone is a Thief, they can call for a vote to send players to jail. 🚨 But they need to be careful—they only have a limited number of votes! Shadow-Heist is a thrilling mix of strategy, deception, and deduction, where every decision counts. 🧠🎭

          All-Steal

All Steal is a chaotic and fast-paced mode where it’s every player for themselves! 🏃‍♂️💨 In this free-for-all mode, your goal is to collect as many coins as possible while outsmarting your opponents.

The twist? Players must complete tasks scattered around the map to earn coins, but they can also steal from others 🕵️‍♀️🔓. Timing is everything—knowing when to complete objectives and when to strike is key to dominating the game.

As the match progresses, the action ramps up, and the stakes get higher. Whether you’re sneaking around or pulling off risky heists, All Steal keeps you on your toes with unpredictable and dynamic gameplay! 💥
