Guide: Installing Shoot! VR on Linux with Steam Proton

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

Shoot! VR is a first-person shooter simulation game. The game simulates the environment of an indoor shooting range. The game has different modes and offers a choice of different weapons.

In time mode, the player tries to get the best score possible within the time limit. Random targets will be generated in the scene. Players must shoot as many targets as possible during the countdown to get a higher score. When the player shoots, there is a virtual sign on the side in front of him/her indicating the score obtained and the time left to remind the player. When the time is up, the player quits the game and the page displays the score.

In level mode, the difficulty of the level changes from easy to hard over time. Each level has a preset score and players must achieve a score greater than or equal to the preset score before the countdown ends before entering the next level. As the player progresses through the level, the difficulty becomes higher and higher. The difficulty of the level is determined by the speed at which the target disappears and the score that must be achieved to advance to the next level. If the score obtained by the player before the end of the time is lower than the predefined score, the game is over and the virtual screen (panel) will display the final score obtained by the player.

In training mode, players can shoot freely with different weapons. This mode is the default mode when a player enters a scene, i.e. the player does not choose to start a game in time or level mode. Players have no time or score limit, they can shoot freely. Players can also choose the difficulty they want, which means the different time interval between the appearance and disappearance of targets.
