This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.
Grab a telestarion shotgun and meet Sir Culligan in fury mode! M.E.A.T. II: Absolute Zero is a classics-styilized shooter with a dark atmosphere, an engaging storyline and hordes of enemies to defeat.
M.E.A.T. II Absolute Zero is a first-person shooter representing the so-called “boomer shooter” genre. The FPS, keeping with the spirit of the series, maintains a pixel art graphical style referring to retro games. At the same time the game is enriched with additional solutions, thanks to which you can also feel a breath of gaming freshness. The whole game is permeated with an awe-inspiring, even brutal atmosphere - dark locations, enemies taken straight out of nightmarish visions, and finally - heavy music. All this completes the final effect, which will certainly not leave you indifferent. The same goes for the plot - following the first part of the M.E.A.T. series.

The game presents the further fate of Sir Duncan H. Culligan, who, despite the tragedies he encountered on his way, does not give up. The death of his wife, the epidemic that gradually turned into a terrifying festival of grotesque citizen-murdering creatures, the closure of mining shafts and the further loss of loved ones. It would seem to be too much for one man. Nothing could be further from the truth. After all, the Cannon of Light has not yet dealt with all the evil consuming this 19th century Canadian town. This time, the dark sect MBSXII poses as the main antagonist, using the Rock Resin to prepare an even greater disaster. What’s important however - a disaster threatening further than the known world reaches... Culligan, however, does not give in to any adversity and takes matters - or rather, guns - into his own hands. The wrath of Washagami chief protector will have to undergo another test, and the telestarion-powered weaponry will become his messenger. For the time of revenge has come. Revenge that takes no prisoners. A revenge painted with blood.
Familiar opponents, but also meny new faces. Fearsome creatures of deformed bodies will try to end Sir Culligan's life in many twisted ways. There is, however, a sizable supply of anger and telestarion in his possession, making it possible to confront the enemy. To not just find the enemy, but exact his revenge by cutting, perforating and tearing out the guts of everything the sect has hidden in its headquarters corridors. That is what your task shall be!
The game refers to the classic installments of its genre, so there will be no shortage of secret levels, hidden boss battles and a whole lot of easter eggs for fans of both pop culture and the M.E.A.T. world.
Your progress will be saved automatically and manually so that you won't lose any of the racked up kills or the ammo-stuffed gun you've just collected. You won't have to worry that a secret item found with difficulty will disappear from your arsenal. Instead of being distracted by it you’ll be instead able to fully focus on your murderous crusade.
The entire story will be presented in narrated cutscenes, which will add a layer of cinematics to the action-packed shooter. This will not only allow you to get to know the whole story in a more accessible way, but will also finally answer the nagging question: what does the M.E.A.T. abbreviation stand for?

M.E.A.T. II Absolute Zero offers a free demo that will shed some light on the upcoming full release. Discover the beginning of Sir Culligan's new, blood-curdling adventure full of blown-up enemies, juicy bullet holes and mysterious locations hiding more than one puzzle. All this is complemented by energetic voiceover, with the shouts of rappers Słoń and Skits of Dutch group DOPE D.O.D. cheering you on.
