How to Download Island Diary

1. Click on the Island Diary download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

This is an uninhabited island rich with greenery.

The main character, Ryou, has lost his memory after drifting ashore. He ends up living the castaway survivor lifestyle together with the girl who finds him, Momo.

According to Momo, there are two other girls on the island: Kuro and Moca. However, they had a falling out between themselves for some reason and they all live on their own.

In order to survive, they need to cooperate as much as they can. With Momo's guidance, Ryou goes to the other two to persuade them.

Let's work together to survive on the deserted island!

A bear-eared girl brimming with energy.
With an friendly and earnest personality, she is upfront and honest about her feelings, using her entire body to express herself regardless of whether she's happy or sad. Although she is a simple person, she has a stubborn side and won't give up on anything she's decided on.
Despite her looks, Momo is extraordinarily strong and can lift large rocks with ease. The only problem is she can also sometimes be a bit of a klutz.

Kuro

A cat-eared girl who can be a bit bossy.
She takes good care of those who she opens up to, trying to act like a big sister. On the other hand, she has a lot of dislikes and is quite sensitive to smells. Though Kuro tries to hide it from everyone, she actually wants to be pampered.
Her instincts react to anything that moves, and she tries to give chase immediately. Apparently it feels really good for her when she gets stroked on the back of her neck and behind her ears.

Moca

I... prefer to be alone.
It's more relaxing for me that way...

A timid, shy girl with bunny ears.
Normally she's quiet, but occasionally lets loose some pretty scathing words. Whenever Moca gets surprised or sad, she cries "pyaaa!" While quick-witted and dextrous, she also has a prankster side to her and excels at setting up traps.
When the time comes, she can also be quite bold...?
