This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

Held against their will, Nyla finds herself in a situation that forces her to use the technology in the very way she feared it would be.
From the beginning until one of five possible endings, you experience the entire story from the perspective of Linh's consciousness in the digital world. As Nyla's sister, you participate in the events as they unfold, enabling and enhancing the system's capabilities from within.
The selfish vs compassionate choices you make along the way will define your past while shaping your future. During various 360° flashbacks, you determine the events of the past by gazing at specific details. How it all ends and the fate of the technology is entirely up to you.
Working alongside Nyla, you resolve incomplete code sequences from within the system, scour the city to identify someone who can help you escape - even if it means exploiting their personal information to get them to comply - and discover solutions to the challenge of sneaking them into the building and hopefully to you, undetected.
Human Within combines a thrilling branching storyline with video game playability. Its blend of original storytelling and gameplay features offer players a distinct interactive experience. It differentiates itself with a unique integration of technical features that includes:
User Involvement: Experiencing the story from Linh's consciousness within a virtual internet space provides a unique way to observe the events taking place and have a level of participation unlike anything else.
Point Cloud Interactivity: Explore environments in digital recreations. These sequences serve as pace-breaking moments where users engage with the story even further, bringing a whole new degree of interactivity to the mix.
Choice and Consequence: At key moments in the story the events that take place are defined by the user's choices. These moments define how events unfolded in the past and determine how it all ends in the present.
Style Variety: The story is told across a unique combination of three distinct visual styles: The Internet Space blending 2D film and 3D graphics, Flashback Scenes with interactive 360 degree stereo film, and Point Cloud recreations with 6DoF 3D environments.
