How to Download UNITED COMMAND ®

1. Click on the UNITED COMMAND ® download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

UNITED COMMAND is a military base building real time strategy game with a 2 player co-op campaign. Drop into a mission and fight side by side with a friend against the enemy AI. Use your dozer to build out your base and gather resources to fund the construction of your tanks, infantry, and aircraft.

It's possible to play solo but the game was designed with two player cooperation in mind. (2 VS AI).
You can play with a friend or another player on Steam using the lobby mechanism.

There have not been too many co-op RTS games in recent years with a pure focus on their campaigns which is why we wanted to make one!

Starting from your headquarters you will use your construction dozer to build out your base. You will need a refinery and harvester to gather resources to fund the construction of your units and their production structures. Construct a variety of ground and air units (tanks, infantry, aircraft). Note: The game currently has no naval units.
UNITED COMMAND features a variety of missions thoughout its linear campaign that will allow you to explore your options for teamwork with a friend.

Note: The game currently has no single player skirmish mode or player versus player mode so if you are looking for that experience please seek it elsewhere. (There are plenty of options!).

The goals for our initial release (early access) is a linear cooperative campaign that includes several sequential briefings, mission maps and objectives. We aspire for narrative and FMV but anticipate having very limited video sequences in the initial version.

For the initial release there will be a single common tech tree for both players and the enemy AI which will lower our development costs and make it easier to tune gameplay.

The plan is to then to iterate based on feedback from our initial playtesters and users to provide gameplay improvements, additional content, units and campaign missions etc.

We plan to give away plenty of keys in our early days for anyone who wants to get involved in our mission and all sales revenues will be reinvested into expanding our audience and funding additional content for at least the first year.
