How to Download Eira: Echoes of Adventure

1. Click on the Eira: Echoes of Adventure download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

• Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 or AMD equivalent
  
• Additional Notes: This version has been tested less than the Windows release and may have unknown issues. For optimal experience play the Windows release.

• Processor: Intel i7 (2.8GHz)

• Additional Notes: This version has been tested less than the Windows release and may have unknown issues. For optimal experience play the Windows release. (Also these specs are from a 5 year old laptop so modern hardware may fare better if not as powerful than the minimum specs listed)

Eira: Echoes of Adventure is a casual adventure game where you play as Eira and trace your grandfather’s footsteps to journey through an icy world filled with curious alien wildlife, spatial puzzles, and hoards of treasure.

Eira always felt destined for greatness. Grandchild to the greatest treasure hunter in the clan, Eira grew up as a star apprentice. But when out on a dangerous intergalactic hunt for a renowned vault, Eira’s grandfather never returned. Years have passed since, and the clan has all but given up hope of his return—but not Eira. After discovering a potential clue indicating their grandpa’s whereabouts, Eira embarks on a journey to a frozen planet in hopes of finding him.

Eira: Echoes of Adventure is a casual adventure game where you play as Eira and trace your grandfather’s footsteps to journey through an icy world filled with curious alien wildlife, spatial puzzles, and hoards of treasure. Use your powerful GalactiVac to terraform the frozen landscape in a sandbox abundant with riches and valuable gems. Rebuild a path through the broken world to follow the dangerous journey your grandfather once took. Track down the remnants of blueprints to upgrade your GalactiVac, unlocking new passages full of treasures and secrets to explore in every region. Will you be able to solve the mystery of your grandpa’s disappearance?

We are a group of students who area passionate about making games. Eira: Echoes of Adventure began as a senior capstone project at Champlain College in August 2019. We are all very excited to showcase this game on Steam for free so people can enjoy the experience we created! We hope this game becomes an example of what students can create and to encourage people to make games of their own.
