How to Download Beyond Eden: Dear Edward

1. Click on the Beyond Eden: Dear Edward download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

'Beyond Eden' spin-off 'Beyond Eden: Dear Edward' is a Boys Love Raising Sim centered on Edward, the callow young aristocrat from the previous game. Follow Edward’s progress as he moves to London staggering under a pile of debt, strives to pay it off and surprisingly find love along the way.

Raise a naive young aristocrat

After racking up a huge amount of gambling debt, Edward seeks means to repay it while struggling to discover true love and what he wants to do with his life.
But he has only one year to accomplish all this.
How he spends that precious time depends on you, the player.
Decide what Edward learns, who he spends time with, and thereby the course of his life.

Edward can pursue romantic relationships with two characters.


Alex Wake
The protagonist of "Beyond Eden", Alex is a handsome businessman and popular socialite.
Edward was smitten by him at first sight, but they remain mere acquaintances.
The animosity between the Wakes and the Edenics is just one obstacle that he must overcome to win Alex’s heart.


Francis Taylor
Francis Taylor is a shy, gentle young man and Edward’s boarding school roommate.
Unbeknownst to Edward, Francis had romantic feelings for him since they were boys. But to Edward, Francis was someone to avoid because he was involved in an incident that got Edward expelled.
A rather unlucky young man prone to get entangled in undesirable circumstances, Edward can choose to continue ignoring Francis or offer help.

Repay debt and work as a private detective

Edward’s 1000 pound-debt is certainly a lot of money, but there are means to repay it.
By developing various abilities Edward can work as an amateur detective, solving various cases that arrive at Alex’s office and get rewarded in turn.

Unbreakable gambling habit

Though Edward is regularly invited to card games, his skills are subpar to say the least.
Whether he again deal in cards, the very cause of his debt, depends on you.

The ghost of Lane Hall

Edward lives in Lane Hall, a mansion rumored to be haunted by a ghost that has frightened many visitors.
But Edward may be able to communicate with the ghost if he learns the ways of spiritualism.

Friendship and…matchmaking…?

Edward can socialize with characters from "Beyond Eden", namely his brothers and acquaintances.
By gaining their trust, he can arrange for them to grow more intimate with Alex.

Special mini-episode

By fulfilling certain conditions, you can read short epilogues of "Beyond Eden" characters Oscar, Joshua, Jeremy, Laurence, Morris and Theodore from the Extra menu.
