How to Download MetaSpace

1. Click on the MetaSpace download button below.
2. Choose "Install" to install the game on the windows steam client.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts
4. Let it download the Full Version.
5. Once a game is downloaded, use the Windows Steam Client to play the game.

This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.

1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."

Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.

Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.

2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.

3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.

4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

MetaSpace is a 2D action strategy game. Explore to gather resources and items to bolster your strength while meeting the growing expectations of your superiors. But be vigilant! Time advances with every action you take, as you use it to gain strength so do the many other factions grasping for power.

MetaSpace is a 2D action strategy game in which you captain a ship and manage an outpost in a strange new universe. You are in charge of your faction's endeavours to solidify their position in MetaSpace but many other factions are all trying to gain their own foothold and with your many responsibilities will come high expectations. Make wise decisions to use your time to it's fullest or face an insurmountable enemy as they grow stronger.

Develop your base!

Acquire resources by exploring, fighting or mining and use them to upgrade your base. Construct new facilities to better train your officers, upgrade and modify your equipment, build new ship designs and research new technologies! Construct new outposts to expand your territory but be wary of enemy fleets that may launch an attack!

Train your crew!

Your officers will gain new skills and traits as they gain experience. Some traits may be helpful such as allowing them to help another officer recover from an injury, while other traits may prove a hindrance. As your officers develop and become more powerful and valuable the risk of them facing a permanent death becomes more daunting. Once they're gone... they're gone.

Make Friends or Foes!

You'll encounter many factions in MetaSpace all with different traits that affect how they develop, behave and respond to you. Depending on your actions and decisions they may become a great ally or a terrible enemy. Attack enemy faction's outposts and fleets to keep them under control and reduce their strength. Visit an allied faction's outposts and you'll be able to purchase their unique items and even hire mercenaries to fight alongside you.

Highly Moddable

The same tools used to create content for the game are available to you! Create your own modpacks featuring ships, events, items and skills. Then share them with your friends on the workshop!
