This guide describes how to use Steam Proton to play and run Windows games on your Linux computer. Some games may not work or may break because Steam Proton is still at a very early stage.
1. Activating Steam Proton for Linux:
Proton is integrated into the Steam Client with "Steam Play." To activate proton, go into your steam client and click on Steam in the upper right corner. Then click on settings to open a new window. From here, click on the Steam Play button at the bottom of the panel. Click "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles."
Alternatively: Go to Steam > Settings > Steam Play and turn on the "Enable Steam Play for Supported Titles" option.
Valve has tested and fixed some Steam titles and you will now be able to play most of them. However, if you want to go further and play titles that even Valve hasn't tested, toggle the "Enable Steam Play for all titles" option.
2. Choose a version
You should use the Steam Proton version recommended by Steam: 3.7-8. This is the most stable version of Steam Proton at the moment.
3. Restart your Steam
After you have successfully activated Steam Proton, click "OK" and Steam will ask you to restart it for the changes to take effect. Restart it. Your computer will now play all of steam's whitelisted games seamlessly.
4. Launch Stardew Valley on Linux:
Before you can use Steam Proton, you must first download the Stardew Valley Windows game from Steam. When you download Stardew Valley for the first time, you will notice that the download size is slightly larger than the size of the game.
This happens because Steam will download your chosen Steam Proton version with this game as well. After the download is complete, simply click the "Play" button.

墜落現場で国家親衛隊が探していた「何か」。
それを拾い上げた、イコヌ以外の誰にも見えない「謎の少年」。
好奇心に駆られたイコヌは少年を追いかけ、古びた施設へ迷い込む。
そこで出会ったのは、政府の諜報員を名乗る女、キルシウム。
衛星に封じられていたものが何か尋ねるイコヌに、彼女は告げた。
それは劣勢の戦況を覆す力を秘めた超常物質、「原石」だと。
イコヌは問う。
「あんたの原石探しを手伝えば、私は何かを変えられる？ 私は故郷に帰れるの？」
キルシウムは答える。
「……ええ、そうでしょう。あなたを責め苛む声は、黙るはずだわ」
『Lavender Quartz 境界秤動』は、とある戦時下の都市で起きた一連の事件を追う、一本道のビジュアルノベルです。
主人公イコヌは、墜落した人工衛星から何かを持ち去った謎の少年の追跡を始めます。
イコヌは諜報員キルシウムと出会い、街を駆け巡って少年と超常物質「原石」の情報を集めます。
事態はやがて破滅的展開へと加速していき、イコヌは残酷な真実に立ち向かうことになります。
イコヌ
州都ミラナルクに住む大学生。
開戦直前に故郷の村を逃げ出して以来、ネット上の公開情報を収集・分析して民間人の立場から戦況を変えようとしてきた。
並外れた好奇心と故郷への執着に従い、ときに無謀にも思える衝動的行動を起こす。
故郷へ帰る希望を「原石」に見出し、危険を承知でキルシウムに協力することを決意する。
キルシウム
諜報機関所属の謎めいた女。
墜落した衛星の中にあった原石を回収するため州都ミラナルクに来たが、少年に先回りされたことに気付く。
同じく原石を捜す国家親衛隊とは対立関係にあり、親衛隊を出し抜くためにイコヌを巻き込んだ。
少年
衛星墜落現場に現れ、原石を持ち去った謎の少年。
誰にも見えず、誰の記憶にも残らない特別な能力を持つ。
キルシウムを襲撃するが、理由は不明。
